Yes it will be live on Vs. network, but I don't get that, having given up cable vision (though I still have cable internet, hoping to ditch that for fiber optic). It appears there'll be live video (at least one stream) plus gps tracking and timing and placement info on the tracker section of the official site... http://tracker.amgentourofcalifornia.com/ This article is about the technology used for the official tracker site... http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=T&ct=us/0-0&fd=R&url=http://www.conte... Here's an interactive overview map of the tour's locations... http://www.modbee.com/static/interactive/tourofcalifornia/toc2009.html If looking for the Vs. coverage don't go to vs.com or you could end up having evidence against you by PC31 for being a dirty one. It looks like someone a different kind of dirty might have gotten hold of whitehouse.com, once noted as a big oops typein link, depending on your views. But I digress. http://www.versus.com/cyclysm If the above video doesn't work you might try this from cycling tv...and jumptv... http://www.nmnathletics.com/newMediaPlayer/console.htm?oemid=20300 Hope this helps! Please add more links if you find any good ones.

Snafus, but cool Picture in Picture too

OK as I listen briefly, the announcers are not announcing (this on the official amgentourofcalifornia.com site), and they're talking with each other perhaps not knowing we can hear it all. Surely they do know but don't feel they need to announce for some reason. Still there's pic in pic and one of the guys mentioned to me beforehand (Svein Tuft of Canada...search nytimes.com for an article) is way ahead. Early yet, and I hate to miss it, but must go out now! Arrgh. If only I had set up stream recording. Videolan? I think it does it.

If You Missed Tour of California Live Try Cycling TV On Demand!

I was so happy that I'd be where there was a tele today with cable so I could watch Tour of California Stage 3 live! Just when the racing was to begin, I went out to use the restroom and came back to... NHL Hockey! Now I have nuffink against NHL Hockey as it is skating, after all, if indoors and ice. But after watching four guys rotate and a pack of indifference a ways back, I was ready for the reel-in and sprint. So I went back to the PC to the official site. Thank you tracker.amgentourofcalifornia.com. I was so obsessed I left a visit with my family to watch the computer. It was only when I had a look in later that I realized the full day was up as broadcast live. That's better than or at least different from the Vs. coverage and condensation. I was able to watch the parts I wanted, and hear some EuroUKisms too, like chukkin it down wif rayne from announcers Martin McCrossan and Magnus Backstedt. More info here... http://www.cycling.tv/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=20300&ATCLID=3644066 Cycling TV even has different bitrate options from which to choose. Sweet! Thanks! Check it out! Oh, it worked in Firefox and Internet Destroyer, but I didn't get it to work (and quit trying) in Google Chrome (might do but I gave up and watched in Firefox). WATCH HERE... http://www.nmnathletics.com/newMediaPlayer/console.htm?oemid=20300 This made me very happy. I got to watch the Thor Train again. It was great how they stopped at the finish and looked back for their teammates to celebrate. Super!
